Preserving Minnesota Point Is the Point
It protects us. Let’s protect it.
Minnesota Point, a gem of our community, is eroding before our eyes, MP50 is the community-led endeavor to save it. Donate today and help us protect it.
When we preserve Minnesota Point, we preserve Duluth
It protects our harbor and the jobs and industries reliant on it
It protects our environment, providing sanctuaries for all type of plants and animals
It protects our equality, giving our community beach access for all
It protects our history, housing the first lighthouse in Minnesota, century old cabin and indigenous burial grounds
It protects our community, housing important gathering spaces like Park Point, Lafayette Community Center, and the Rowing Club
It protects our people, the place over 1,200 Duluthians call home and the base for the Coast Guard station.

Long-term resilience is possible. But it depends on all of us.
We’ve built an advanced learning model, thanks to a collaborative effort from the City of Duluth, the Army Corps of Engineers, and a board of experts. The aim is to educate, implement, and enhance the resilience of this wonderful place.

“If we don’t come together when thinking about climate change, development, and other issues, we’re going to lose Minnesota Point entirely in the near future.”
— Nisogaabokwe Melonee Montaño, Red Cliff Tribal Member
